Ever lose an auction in the last few seconds?

I lost so many auctions in the last few seconds I got really irritated. Trying to count down the seconds till the auction ended to click my bid in with 8 seconds to go was almost impossible. I got so fed up of calculating between time zones and messing about with my watch, I eventually decided to make my own auction countdown system that does everything automatically. It works great! It's probably unfair to the other bidders but it still works great!

If you want to win the auctions you bid on, read the information below. Then get your own system in just two minutes! You will not be sorry! (Get Yours Now!)

Example: Auction display panel - Store info for up to 10 auctions at once!

The "Auction display panel" (above), contains three important features.
  1. The auction end. Date and time in your local time. Local time is calculated automatically. You don't need to work it out yourself. Just select the time zone your auction site uses.
For example, E-bay uses PST - Pacific Standard Time (GMT/UCT -8) in winter and PDT in summer.

  2. Real-time countdown in seconds to the auction end. The display panel will count down as you watch, so you don't need to keep refreshing the auction site window to check how long is left till the auction ends. Whenever you are ready, you can pop up a very small countdown window (see below).

  3. Two pop-up countdown window buttons. Click one of these a few minutes before the auction ends. The countdown buttons launch a small window that you can see while waiting to confirm your final bid.

The countdown windows

The two small countdown windows look the same (see right).
The Countdown AOT window does its best to stay Always On Top.
Use whichever you like, but do not try to use two AOT windows at once or they will fight. When the countdown reaches 15 seconds or less, click the Confirm Bid button on the auction site page to place your final bid.

Other features

As you can see above, the Auction display panel also provides some other information.
  • The title of the auction, so you can tell what you are bidding on.

  • The shipping cost, in case it is not easily visible on the Auction site. On E-bay, the shipping cost isn't always displayed. Often you are instructed to "See Description" to discover or calculate the shipping costs. If you are watching several similar items with different shipping costs, this feature is quite useful.

  • A panel where you can jot down notes you may want to refer to easily.

  • In addition The optimum bidding strategy, is explained so you can try to keep the price low as well as win the auction.

Timers and counters

Our system synchronises with a World Time Server (WTS) automatically so it doesn't matter if your computer's clock is wrong. However, if you prefer, you can use your internal computer clock to set the timers and counters as long as you remember to synchronise it regularly to keep it accurate. Links and instructions are provided.

About Web Xpertz and money.

Web Xpertz is a non-profit site staffed by volunteers and visited by a large community of over 10,000 members who all contribute to the site by asking and answering questions free of charge. We would love to make the auction bar system completely free but we can't afford to because it uses up a lot of bandwidth.

The best we can do is offer it at cost; US$10 a year - which is approximately UK £5 - £6 a year - Euro €7 - €8 a year - and hopefully this will cover the cost of the bandwidth and storage space required to run the system. We hope you agree this is fair. You will probably save more than that the first time you use it anyway.

Set-up is immediate
Please register below for only US $10 per year or equivalent in any currency accepted by PayPal.

Set-up takes about two minutes. Payment is through PayPal but in some countries you can pay without setting up a PayPal account using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, You can also use a PayPal credit card or use your Paypal account. Pay in any currency accepted by PayPal.

You only need to do three things to set-up your auction bar system.

1/ Type in an e-mail address OR username for log-in
2/ Type in a password
3/ Select the current time zone for where you live

We strongly suggest you type in an email address for log-in as it will be unique and easy to remember. We will send you a confirmation e-mail with your account details that you can keep for future reference. WebXpertz members will already know that we send no SPAM and your address is perfectly safe with us.

If you do not wish to use an email address for log-in, or for creating multiple accounts, you can use a username instead. If you do, please don't forget it or your password.

Select your current time zone from the box above. Your time zone will depend on where you live. All world time zones should be listed. If you can't find your time zone by name, go to the world clock to check your current time offset in relation to GMT. Then select any time zone above that matches your GMT offset.

Example. For 'Dar es Salaam - Tanzania' GMT offset is + 3.
Therefore you can select 'EEDT - Eastern European Daylight Time (Europe) GMT +3'

If you are unable to find a matching time zone please let us know by contacting us at www.webxpertz.net. If you are a WebXpertz member send a PM to KH@.

Note. You can change your zone at any time. For instance you may be travelling or you may need to reset when the clocks go forward or back an hour. If your area changes time zones for Daylight Saving Time you will need to reset.
